【中国での物流網広がる】
日本企業が中国での事業を拡大するに伴う物流需要を背景に日本の物流企業が提携・合弁方式で中国の輸送網整備に乗り出している。福山通運（9075）は、国有企業で最大手の 物流会社と提携、日本通運（9062）は合弁形式で空港物流に乗り出すほか、近鉄エクスプレス（9375）も中国内拠点網の拡大に注力している。
【自社株消却】
トヨタ自動車（7203）は、従来よりもさらに株主還元を厚くするため、自社株追加取得と取得した自社株の消却を実施する。消却は約6年ぶりとなるが、今後は継続性がある模様。自社株の消却では、住生活グループ（5938）は来期上期中に保有する自社株（金庫株）約1,750万株（発行済み株式数の約5.6％）を消却する見通しであり、またアステラス製薬（4503）や科研製薬（4521）も来期中にも金庫株を消却する可能性があるようだ。
【半導体製造装置受注】
東京エレクトロン（8035）の08年3月期連結第3四半期業績は、売上高6,762億円、前年同期比＋13％、純利益880億円、同＋37％、と好調な決算だった。主力の半導体製造装置の増販が寄与。東京エレクトロンと同様に半導体製造の前工程をてがけている企業はJSR（4185）や東京応化工業（4186）、荏原（6361）、芝浦メカトロニクス（6590）、日本マイクロニクス（6871）、東京精密（7729）、ニコン（7731）、大日本スクリーン製造（7735）、キヤノン（7751）、などがある。
【液晶用ガラス基板好調】
旭硝子（5201）の07年12月期連結業績は売上高１兆6,812億円、前年比＋3.7％、営業利益1,974億円、同＋45％、純利益696億円、同＋55％。続く08年12月期連結業績予想の会社計画は、連結の対象会社が減少することから売上高▲4.8％、営業利益＋1.3％、純利益＋43.6％。薄型大型テレビ向け液晶用ガラス基板増産効果が見込めるため。液晶用ガラス基盤メーカーの最大手は米・コーニング社だが、2番手が旭硝子、3番手は日本電気硝子（5214）、4番手にNHテクノガラス（7741ＨＯＹＡと5202日本板硝子の合弁会社）、となっている。
