東京株式市場では、日経平均が続伸。２００円を超える上昇となり、１万２５００円の上値に迫った。売られ過ぎに対する修正ムードが続き、先物主導で戻りを試す展開になった。ただ、実需買いは鈍く、現物の商いは超閑散。東証１部売買代金は２兆円を割り込み、半日取引の大発会を除けば実質的に今年最低を記録した。
東証１部騰落数は値上がり１４４９銘柄に対し、値下がりは２２０銘柄。変わらずは５４銘柄だった。
