東京株式市場で日経平均は大幅反落。２営業日ぶりに１万３０００円を割り込み、一時４００円を超える下げ幅となった。円高進行や企業収益悪化への不安が強まり売りが先行した。ただ売りは海外勢など一部にとどまっており東証１部売買代金は２兆円割れと薄商い。
７カ国財務相・中央銀行総裁会議（Ｇ７）で為替への協調策は見送られたことから前週末に盛り上がった期待がはく落したとの指摘もあった。
東証１部騰落数は値上がり２２５銘柄に対し、値下がりは１４５５銘柄。変わらずは４５銘柄だった。
